INTENSIONS

Back Roads City Streets was created on an instagram page.  The page was a way to share my stories and inspire others to travel abroad.

in my early 20's. My Dad had won a trip to Italy just after my mom passed from cancer. he took me as his plus one, this was the life altering trip that ignited mytravel flame.

​

Once back in the states, I opened a dance studio, married & had 4 children. traveling abroad was now a blur in the rear view mirror. raising my children and running a studio outranked travel. when my kids were in their 20's, i went back to College to finish my bachelors Degree in interior design. I rewarded myself a river cruise on the sein in france with friends and decided travel is a must for my psyche from that trip forward. my goal was to  travel abroad at least once a year, if life allowed.

one of the hurdles i had moving into the travel world, was the fact i was single. not having readily available people to travel with made it hard to make plans. many of my Friends had different schedules and vacation ideas. this prompted me to  create a way for others in similar situations, or had apprehension to go abroad unseasoned. my goal was to make it comfortable and easy for people to travel along with a warm and friendly host, meet new people and have an experience of a life time.

 

now these tours are for everyone, couples, and groups, not just the single traveler.

throughout my travel experiences, i have encountered the country of Italy and its exquisitte  regions five seperate trips. my travels in France, spain,  Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands and Mexico have enriched my ability to refer & share with others. I truly enjoy exposing these gorgeous places with people that want to spread their wings around the world. Many new countries are on back roads city streets bucket list and coming in 2026.
